Bruce Boudreau's comments about Madison Square Garden being a bit of a dump caused a bit of a stir around town, mostly because there were three days between games in the Capitals vs. Rangers 2011 NHL Playoffs first-round series. It was a bunch of hot air that became big because air space needed to be filled, nothing more. (Of course, if you ask the team, it's the media's fault that their coach said something to a radio station).

So the story is dead, right? Ah, not so fast. In what must be categorized as an attempt to capitalize on their new fame, Kirk and Mike from the "The Kirk McEwen and Mike O'Meara Show" on 105.9 The Edge, where Boudreau made his comments, are hosting a "NO MSG" Capitals pre-party before Game 5 of the series on Saturday. The event begins at 1 p.m. at The Greene Turtle" right outside the Verizon Center. They will be giving away those shirts to anyone who shows up, ostensibly to rally support among Capitals faithful.

The only problem? If you ask anyone around the game, they'll probably say that being better than the atmosphere at Madison Square Garden isn't something to strive to be.
