Alex Ovechkin didn't have a very good year by his standards, and one reason that many Capitals fans cited was coach Bruce Boudreau's insistence on moving him to the point on power plays. The power play in general was so much worse this season than last season, and yet, Boudreau kept Ovechkin on the point. It bothered so many people that followed the team.

Yup, Alex Ovechkin is playing the point on the power play for Team Russia in a huge game against Team Canada at the World Ice Hockey Championships. I guess Team Russia's coach didn't watch the Capitals play on the power play much this season.
