We've already talked about how the news of Osama Bin Laden's death happened to cause many Washington Capitals fans to go straight from the Verizon Center to right outside the White House to celebrate. But here's another crazy coalescence of sports and real life. The man in that picture, who is either a cameraman, a White House staffer or someone else involved in the proceedings before Barack Obama's speech, is wearing his Alex Ovechkin Capitals jersey. (Here's a better shot, via The Atlantic, of what appears to be the same person).
↵There's actually a story behind this too. The son of the man sent out a message on Twitter that his father was at a bar watching the Capitals game before being called into duty.

↵@JapersRink That would be my Dad, he was watching the Caps game at a bar downtown and got called back to work

Just another example of how work and sports come together when you least expect it.
