The Washington Capitals will kick off the 2011 Caps Convention on September 23 with an alumni game at Kettler Capitals Iceplex in Arlington, the first such game of its kind. Here's a list of all the players involved, straight off the Caps' website:
"The game will feature "Team Langway" facing off against "Team Laughlin." Participating alumni are scheduled to include, Hall of Famer Mike Gartner, former All-Stars Peter Bondra, Don Beaupre and Dennis Maruk as well as former Caps Calle Johansson, Greg Adams, Alan May, Mark Lofthouse, Yvon Labre, Gord Lane, Jason Woolley, John Druce, Sylvain Cote, Paul Mulvey, Alan Hangsleben, Nelson Burton, Errol Rausse, Gary Rissling, and Ken Sabourin."
Tickets will go on sale on August 24 and will cost $10, with the proceeds going to Capitals Charities. You must have tickets to the Caps Convention in order to buy one for the game.
Unfortunately, Jaromir Jagr is unable to attend. I'm sure the fans will be crushed.
