Debby Wong-US PRESSWIRE - Presswire

We are a couple of weeks into the Swiss Hockey League schedule and it's Genéve that sits atop the standings. Genéve leads the way with 32 points, which is nine better than any other team in the league. Fribourg, HC Lugano and the Lakers are all currently tied for second place with 23 points.

The ZSC Lions and SC Bern are tied for fifth place with 22 points. EHC Biel sits in seventh with 18 points. The Kloten Flyers sit one point back of EHC Biel in the standings. Washington Capitals center Brooks Laich is currently playing with the Flyers as the NHL is locked out, and he continues to play well. He currently leads the team with goals (with three) and assists (with five).

EV Zug are ninth in the standings. HC Davos is behind them with 11 points, while the SCL Tigers are in 11th place with eight. Amrbi-Piotta is in last place with just seven points this season.
