Daniel Paille's rebound goal has propelled the Boston Bruins into a 2-2 tie with the Washington Capitals after two periods in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals.
Paille was left all alone in front of Braden Holtby's net and pounced on a rebound of Greg Zanon's shot from the left point to tie the game.
After trailing, 1-0 at the first intermission, Boston tied the score at 1-1 35 seconds into the second period when Rich Peverley skated down the left side of the ice and flipped a wrist shot that went off Braden Holtby's glove and rolled behind the goal line.
All of 13 seconds later, Alex Ovechkin put the Caps back in front. As Brooks Laich's dump-in attempt flipped into the Bruins zone, Ovechkin raced and beat Dennis Seidenberg to the bouncing puck and one-timed it under the glove of Tim Thomas.
