The Washington Capitals trail in their Playoff series against the Boston Bruins 2-1, and if they aren't able to get a win on Thursday in Game 4, they could be facing elimination when the series shifts back to Boston for Game 5. They won't have one of their more important players in the lineup as Nicklas Backstrom was suspended for this game, which only makes things tougher. His absence means that Mike Knuble will likely get an opportunity to see extended playing time, and John Erskine might see the ice as well. They aren't facing elimination in this game, but the Capitals' backs are certainly up against the wall.
