2012 NHL Playoffs: Michal Neuvirth Will Back Up Braden Holtby In Game 5

The Washington Capitals will have one of their usual goaltenders back for Game 5 against the Boston Bruins. Goaltender Michal Neuvirth practiced with the team Friday morning at the Kettler Ice Plex and will be in uniform and ready to go behind Braden Holtby in Boston on Saturday afternoon.

Washington Times Capitals writer Stephen Whyno confirmed this in a tweet on Friday.

Holtby does have the hot goalie glove so there is no reason to pull him out of the starting position for Game 5. The good news about this is that the Capitals now have another goalie with playoff experience backing up Holtby should things not go well.
