Game 6 Between Capitals, Bruins Set For 3 P.M. Sunday

The Washington Capitals and Boston Bruins will play Game 6 at 3 p.m. on Sunday at Verizon Center. With the Pittsburgh Penguins extending their series against the Philadelphia Flyers in a 3-2 win on Friday night, and the Detroit Red Wings elimination at the hands of the Nashville Predators, the schedule opened up for an Eastern Conference doubleheader on NBC. Sky Kerstein reported the Caps and Bruins will play at 3:00 p.m. ET on Sunday, following Game 6 of the Flyers and Pens from Philadelphia. NBC4's Dan Hellie confirmed the Game 6 schedule:

The latest schedule update means the Caps and B's will play back-to-back this weekend at the same time on the same channel, with Game 5 in Boston set for Saturday at 3:00 p.m.
