After a thrilling 4-3 victory on Saturday in TD Garden, the Washington Capitals return home Sunday to host the Boston Bruins in a critical Game 6 of their opening round Eastern Conference playoff series. The No. 7 seed Capitals stand just one win away from eliminating the defending Stanley Cup Champions from the postseason, and would advance to the second round for the third time in four years with a Game 6 triumph.
The Russian duo of Alexander Semin and Alex Ovechkin have played well for the Capitals in the series, with Semin scoring a goal in three straight games and Ovechkin notching a goal and three assists through five games. Youngster Braden Holtby has been a star in net, stopping 34 of the 37 shots he faced in Game 5. Holtby has a .946 save percentage in the series' first five games.
If Washington loses on Sunday, Game 7 will be played in Boston on Wednesday night.
