2012 NHL Playoffs, Capitals Vs. Rangers Game 4 Score Update: Washington Leads New York 1-0 After First Period

Alex Ovechkin scored a goal on a loose puck with 7:17 left on the clock in the first period to give the Washington Capitals a 1-0 lead over the New York Rangers in the first period.

Rangers goalie Henrik Lundqvist tried to stop Ovechkin's shot but the puck ricocheted off of his glove and into the net.

The Capitals are currently the aggressor in the game as they are outshootting New York 14-3 so far after 20 minutes of action in the first period. Washington is looking to even the series at two games apiece with a victory over New York this afternoon.
