2012 NHL Playoffs, Capitals Vs. Rangers Game 4 Score Update: Washington and New York Tied 2-2 After Second Period

The New York Rangers wasted no time getting on the board in the second period.

Artem Anisimov scored less than two minutes into the period as he maneuvered the puck between Alex Ovechkin and Brooks Laich and past Braden Holtby for the score to tie the game 1-1.

But the Caps regained the lead with 8:06 left to go in the second period after Nicklas Backstrum scored on an assist from Jason Chimera behind the net. Backstrum shot the puck over the right shoulder of goalie Henrik Lundqvist to give Washington the lead 2-1.

The Rangers then tied the game at 2-2 with just over three minutes to play in the period when Marian Gaborik scored on an Anisimov assist past Washington goalie Braden Holtby for the score.
