2012 NHL Playoffs: Potential Capitals/Rangers Game 7 Scheduled For 7:30 Saturday Night

The National Hockey League has announced that a potential Game 7 between the Washington Capitals and New York Rangers would take place at 7:30 p.m. Saturday evening at New York's Madison Square Garden.

The Eastern Conference Semifinal series is the last second-round series going, with the Los Angeles Kings, Phoenix Coyotes, and New Jersey Devils all having previously taken their place in the Conference Finals.

The potential Game 7 would air on NBC Sports Network. The nighttime start is due to NBC's daytime coverage of the The Players' Championship.

A schedule for the Conference Finals has not been set, but if Game 7 does take place, Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals could take place as early as Monday, May 14.
