Meet Our New Caps Editor

A while back, we put out a call for a new Capitals editor at SB Nation DC to replace Adam Vingan, who jumped to NBC Washington at the end of the regular season to continue doing that voodoo that he do so well.

We put the call out for submissions, and what we got back was tremendous, both in terms of number and in terms of quality. After spending much of the past two weeks whittling down the submissions, we found our man.

If you've hung around Kettler Iceplex or stalked the Verizon Center for any length of time, you have probably met Ted Starkey. We've put his bio after the jump, because we can hardly keep it straight ourselves.

Ted Starkey is a veteran sportswriter who has covered the NHL, NFL and MLB, writing for The Washington Times, Tampa Tribune, AOL Sports, FanHouse.com, USAHockey.com and BuffaloBills.com, as well as the author of two books on the Washington Capitals, Transition Game: The Story of the 2010-11 Washington Capitals and Red Rising: The Washington Capitals Story.

With a resume like that, do we even need to make the redundant promise of quality Caps coverage? I don't think we do.

You'll be seeing his byline on the site very soon, and in the meantime, we suggest that you follow Ted on Twitter @TedStarkey.
