Washington Nationals' Season Ticket Holder Slogan: 'Expect It'

What it "it," you ask? A winning record. Bwahahahaha. A chance to watch Stephen Strasburg pitch? Yeah ... no. So what do the Washington Nationals have to sell to their fans for next season?

Hope, of course. And not just any kind of hope, either. Not the kind of hope that doesn't pay off. No, this is the kind of hope that they are telling their fans they should "expect" to pay dividends.

Via Dan Steinberg of D.C. Sports Bog, we learn that the Nationals' 2011 slogan, at least to season-ticket holders, is "Expect It." The campaign, noted in a letter that came with renewed season tickets, notes that the Nationals' long-term strategy is "beginning to show returns." Noting that the Nationals have spent the most money in baseball on the draft in each of the last two years, the letter adds that "you've got the team with all the buzz, the team with great young players that baseball insiders want to watch."

I guess this means I'm reading the wrong baseball insiders. You can see images of the package over at D.C. Sports Bog.
