Bryce Harper Injury: X-Ray Reveals No Significant Damage To Ankle

When Bryce Harper went down with a sprained ankle yesterday and the entirety of the Nationals fanbase felt a shiver go down their spine. But according to Adam Kilgore at the Washington Post, X-Rays have revealed that the injury he suffered is not serious, and nothing to worry about in the long run.

Results came back negative from X-rays taken of top prospect Bryce Harper’s sprained left ankle, according
to a Nationals source. The Nationals listed Harper as “day-to-day” after he had to be carted off the field during a Nationals minor league intrasquad game. The results of the X-rays confirmed their training staff’s initial belief that he had not suffered any significant damage to his ankle.

Well isn't that a relief. Based on how careful the Nationals have been with Harper this Spring, I can't imagine they will be in any rush to let him return to the lineup. Even thought injury is not serious (and that is what you should be taking away from this) I would expect Harper to see some serious time off over the next week or so.
