VIDEO: Bryce Harper Hits First Professional Home Run

Washington Nationals phenom Bryce Harper has been learning the ropes in Hagerstown, and apparently he is also hitting them as well. Harper broke his Major League home run cherry Wednesday by putting a Lexington Legends (Houston Astros affiliate) pitch over the wall for a two-dinger.

We can tell it was fantastic by just looking at it.

Hagerstown shortstop Adrian Sanchez singled on a line drive to center field to start the top of the third, and then Harper came and drove them both in with a shot over the right field wall. The 18-year old Harper is now hitting .261 with Single-A Hagerstown, which isn't bad considering how young he is.

On Tuesday, Harper signed a deal with sporting apparel giant Under Armour. One day, he is signing mega deals with huge companies, the next he is hitting Major League home runs. This begs the question: what was everyone else doing when they were just 18 years old?
