VIDEO: JFK Gets Physical With George Washington In First Appearance As Racing President

UPDATE: As it turns out, JFK is not a permanent addition. Bummer.

For as long as any of us care to remember, there have been four giant-headed President quasi mascots running along the warning track and down the first base line during Nationals home games. That's how it has always been. But on Wednesday night, the Nationals invited a new President to the part. He wasn't racing, per se, but he did have a pretty big impact on the race.

Yup, that would be JFK, taking the fungo bat to George Washington's knees, allowing Thomas Jefferson to run away with the win. We don't really know what JFK's role will be in races in the future, but the races would probably benefit from some new blood.

Also, is Teddy OK? Usually they take him out of the race with a little bit more tact than they did tonight, and it seems like the blatant tackle left him a little bit slow to get up.
