Brewers Vs. Nationals: Nationals Look To Continue Power Surge And Sweep Brewers

The Milwaukee Brewers came into Sunday's doubleheader against the Washington Nationals with hopes they could return their team record to .500 and put pressure on the NL Central leading Cincinnati Reds. Now they are hoping to escape the shores of the Potomac with just one win, as they face Livan Hernandez in Game 2 of a doubleheader.

The Nationals' offense found high voltage in the first game of the doubleheader, with three players putting balls over the Nationals Park fences. They also got an outstanding seven-inning pitching performance from Jason Marquis which helped give the Nationals the 8-4 victory in Game 1. The win seals the series for the Nats, as they also beat the Brewers on Friday in the first game of a three game series. Now Washington looks to add insult to injury and go for the complete sweep of the series Sunday afternoon.

The Nats will turn to the top of their rotation and their favorite workhorse, Hernandez (1-1, 3.50 ERA), to finish off the Brewers. He will be opposed by former Nationals pitcher Marco Estrada (1-0, 5.14 ERA).
