Former Nationals Outfielder Elijah Dukes Is In Trouble Again

The hits just keep on coming and coming for former Washington Nationals outfielder Elijah Dukes. Too bad those hits aren't coming off his bat or off the rap album he is trying to put together under the rapper name Fly Eli.

No, these hits are coming under a different type of rap: his rap sheet. Dukes was arrested Sunday afternoon in Florida and charged with driving with a suspended or revoked license.

A suspended license is not as tragic and twisted as some of his other recent crimes, such as not paying child support, assaulting a woman pregnant with his child and breaking one of the unwritten Unwritten Laws of Baseball (players do not talk about each other's man purses), but you can add it to the list if you are keeping score. Dukes once had a world of possibilities opened to him as a promising prospect for both the Tampa Bay Rays and Nationals. Now those doors have slammed completely shut on him, thanks to the bad decisions he has made.

If Dukes needs anything it is hard time - hard time inside himself to maybe figure himself out. Whoa! That's deep!
