Nationals Vs. Orioles Score: Nationals Leading Orioles In Close Game 1-0

The Washington Nationals and Baltimore Orioles have so far won one game each of the current three game series off the power of their bats. Sunday afternoon is turning out to be a day for the pitchers rather than high powered offense so far. The Nationals Jordan Zimmermann has held off the O's line-up giving up only one hit, while Chris Tillman of the Orioles has surrendered only one run in the game, but that run has put the Nats up 1-0 in the fifth.

The Nationals had two prime opportunities in the fourth, but only took advantage of one of them. Tillman loaded the bases with two outs and faced Alex Cora who ripped a ball right back to the mound. The ball bounced off the mound away from Tillman and the Orioles couldn't collect it as Jayson Werth scored and Cora collected an RBI single. This left the bases loaded again for center fielder Roger Bernadina, but he flew out to right field to end the inning.

It is a very close one in Baltimore so far with both teams looking to take the series in Sunday's rubber match. Nationals manager Jim Riggleman was ejected in the first-inning and is no doubt wishing he was out there to see this Battle of the Beltway through.
