Nationals Vs. Brewers Score: A First Career Grand Slam Gives Nationals 5-2 Lead

After starter Livan Hernandez gave up a first-inning two-run home run to the Milwaukee Brewers Corey Hart (his fourth of this series) it already looked like curtains for Washington. However, first baseman Michael Morse has changed the drapes and the direction of Tuesday night's game in the third-inning with one swing of his bat to give the Nats a 5-1 lead over the Brew Crew in the third-inning.

In the third-inning, after shortstop Ian Desmond singled to start off the inning, both right fielder Jayson Werth and catcher Wilson Ramos were able to draw walks off pitcher Chris Narveson. To the plate comes Morse who then teed off on a 4-seam fastball in the third pitch of the at-bat and sent the ball, and the Nationals spirits, soaring into the air and over the left field wall for his first career Grand Slam.

The other run for the Nationals came off the bat of Hernandez who helped his own cause by hitting an RBI single in the second-inning.
