Ryan Zimmerman's injury may finally be fully healed soon. The Nationals' third baseman, who has missed most of the 2011 season with an abdominal injury, is expected to come off the disabled list before the team's game against the St. Louis Cardinals on Tuesday, according to Bill Ladson of MLB.com.

Zimmerman is expected to complete his minor-league rehabilitation assignment with two games for Triple-A Syracuse on Saturday and Sunday. He will then get Monday off so he can return on Tuesday.
Zimmerman first suffered the injury in Spring Training, then sat out several games in April while trying to play through it. He eventually elected to have surgery at the end of April and has not played since. Zimmerman's absence has been a big problem for the Nationals, as they have struggled scoring runs all season.
