Newly minted Washington Nationals manager Davey Johnson isn't wasting any time backing up his team and sending the Washington fan base into a fantastic frenzy. The 68-year old who took former manager Jim Riggleman's job (and jersey number) spoke with the press at a 6 P.M. EST press conference at Angel Stadium and a simple question was asked: with the Nationals only 3 1/2 games back of the Atlanta Braves and the Wild Card, can the Nationals make the playoffs?
