Nationals Vs. Angels Score: Nationals Down 1-0 And Looking For Runs

The third and final game of a three game series between the Washington Nationals and Los Angeles Angels is entering the sixth-inning and the Angels have the upper hand in a tight 1-0 game. The Nationals are trying to avoid the three-game sweep.

Neither team's starting pitcher is giving up much. The Nationals Jordan Zimmermann and Angels Dan Haren have almost identical lines. Going into the top of the sixth Zimmerman has give up only up one unearned run on two hits, walking one and striking out two while Haren has only given up one hit and struck out three. The Angels scored their one run of the game so far in the fourth when Bobby Abreu scored on a double play ball. Both teams have committed one error, the Nationals error came on a Ryan Zimmerman throw.

The only National to touch Haren so far has been right fielder Brian Bixler. Jerry Hairston Jr. left the game in really bad pain after getting hit on the hand by a pitch.
