UPDATE: Since this was originally posted, the Nationals have taken another Scott Boras client, outfielder Brian Goodwin, at No. 34. That makes 12 overall. Just change the team name already.
↵OK, so the Washington Nationals' fascination with Scott Boras clients is getting a little ridiculous. They have currently made their first two picks in the 2011 MLB Draft, and they are thrilled to have ended up with Rice third baseman Anthony Rendon at No. 6 and Kentucky pitcher Alex Meyer at No. 23. Both are guys they really wanted to have.
↵Both are also Scott Boras clients.
↵The Nationals already are notorious for stuffing their team with Boras clients, most notably Stephen Strasburg, Bryce Harper and Jayson Werth. In fact, Boras is the agent for nine Nationals players within the organization when you add in Danny Espinosa, Ivan Rodriguez, Rick Ankiel, Alex Cora, Oliver Perez and Jesus Flores. Now, you can add two more players to that list.
↵So when do the Nationals just hand out some sort of honorary team award to Boras? Considering how embedded he is in their culture, they might as well.
