Is Bob Carpenter Out At MASN At End Of Season?

This may make some Washington Nationals fans happy. ↵↵

The #Nats did not tell Bob Carpenter if his option was picked up, and that likely means he will become a free agent after 2011.less than a minute ago via web Favorite Retweet Reply

Carpenter is the play-by-play man for the Nationals on MASN, and while he has plenty of experience as a former ESPN broadcaster and St. Louis Cardinals radio man, he's also frustrated many Nationals fans with what they perceive as homerism. Recently, he angered some viewers on the day of the trading deadline with a rant against all the rumors, specifically calling out Adam Kilgore of the Washington Post for passing along information about a projected trade for Todd Coffey.

If Carpenter is indeed out after the season, it will mean the Nationals have turned over their play-by-play announcer and color commentator in the span of one year. Rob Dibble was fired last season and was replaced by F.P. Santangelo.
