Nationals Vs. Phillies: Ross Detwiler Looks To Allow Nationals To Sweep Doubleheader

The Washington Nationals will look to sweep a doubleheader against the league-leading Philadelphia Phillies in Philadelphia on Tuesday night, a feat that is incredibly tough to do. The Nationals took the first game of the doubleheader, 4-3, on a pinch-hit RBI single by Ryan ZImmerman. Now, they'll look to sweep behind Ross Detwiler, who will take the mound.

Detwiler is looking for his third win of the season in his ninth start. He began the season in long relief, but upon being called up from the minors, he has been inserted into the rotation. Cliff Lee will oppose Detwiler, looking for his 17th win of the season.

After sitting many regulars in the first game of the doubleheader, the Nationals will throw out a normal lineup in the nightcap. Here it is:

  1. Ian Desmond (SS)
  2. Jayson Werth (CF)
  3. Ryan Zimmerman (3B)
  4. Michael Morse (LF)
  5. Jonny Gomes (RF)
  6. Danny Espinosa (2B)
  7. Chris Marrero (1B)
  8. Wilson Ramos (C)
  9. Ross Detwiler (P)
