For the second time in two days a game between the Washington Nationals the Los Angeles Dodgers has been postponed due heavy storms that have moved into the Washington D.C. area. The second game of a traditional doubleheader between the two teams has been washed out and cancelled.
The second game of today's Nationals-Dodgers doubleheader has been canceled and will only be played if necessary at the end of the season.
The Nationals were in the middle of a four game series with the Dodgers which the Dodgers were leading two games to one. Nationals pitcher Ross Detwiler was scheduled to pitch the cancelled game and will now have his turn skipped in the Nationals rotation.
Unless the Dodgers go on a tear and make the playoff race interesting, this game can probably be marked off the calendar as a cancellation.
