The Washington Nationals appear to be the favorite to win the services of free agent first baseman Prince Fielder. Jon Morosi of FOX Sports seems to hammer this point home a bit with his latest tweet:
Sources say #Rangers unlikely to outbid #Nationals for Prince Fielder. But as I wrote earlier this week, Texas has surprised us before.

It's currently believed that the race for Fielder consists of less than a handful of teams, two of which being the Nationals and the Texas Rangers. As Morosi states, it doesn't sound like the Rangers have plans to outbid the Nats for the talented first baseman. Fielder met with the Rangers on Jan. 13, but it doesn't appear that much headway was made. The only issue now with Fielder coming to the Nats are the concern about the 275-pound 27-year olds health.
