More: Prince Fielder rumors
The Washington Nationals appear to have some competition for free-agent slugger Prince Fielder from their neighbors immediately to the north. The Baltimore Orioles have expressed interest in signing Fielder, and while it is not clear whether they will meet his asking price, they are in the chase, according to SIRIUS XM's Jim Duquette.
#Orioles are definitely in on PF - it remains to be seen if they'll go to the "magic" number. But there's plenty of motivation to sign him

FOX Sports' Ken Rosenthal confirmed that the Orioles are in the picture. More generally, CBS Sports' Jon Heyman reported that Fielder is deciding between four teams.
The Orioles, like the Nationals, have been involved with big names before, only to find their interest isn't serious. If the interest is serious, though, it will certainly allow Scott Boras to drive up the price for his client.
