It appears the week-long, off-field saga of the Ryan Zimmerman contract extension has come to a close, as it is being reported the Nationals and their star third baseman have finally agreed on a contract extension early Sunday morning. Via Adam Kilgore of the Washington Post:
The Nats and Ryan Zimmerman have agreed to a contract extension, source says. A press conference expected to come after today's workout.

There are no details yet on the length of the contract or the money involved, though it is safe to assume if the deal got done there is a no-trade clause involved, as that seemed to be the last stumbling block for the two sides over the past few days.
