Michael Morse has been out for most of Spring Training with a tweak in his side, an injury which had always been described as minor by the Nationals and the player himself. But after missing so much time and with no return date on the schedule, his availability for opening day has started to come into question.
Davey sounding pessimistic Morse will be ready by Opening Day. Referred to "tear" in lat, said he thinks Morse had PRP injection.

But Zuckerman also makes an interesting observation.
With Morse, worth pointing out he says he feels great. But hasn't been cleared for baseball activities yet.

It sounds like a classic case of the player wanting to get back onto the field before he's ready, and in these types of situations, it's always safer to side with the training staff.
