The Washington Nationals played their second Grapefruit League contest in as many days Sunday, with the hometown nine falling to the Houstros Astros 10-2. Tom Gorzelanny had a day to forget for Washington, allowing eight of those 10 Houston runs, but today's game was really about the spring debut of Stephen Strasburg, who pitched well for his first time out.
Strasburg struck out three batters, gave up three hits, walked none, allowing two earned runs on the day. More importantly, the prize arm of the Washington organization had this to say, via the Nationals official twitter feed:
"My arm feels a lot better than it did last year, a lot stronger." - @stras37
