Since Nationals Park opened its doors in 2008, the biggest non-baseball event it's hosted was probably the Mass by Pope Benedict XVI, which was held in April of that year.
We all know that no ballpark is ever just a ballpark these days, and so it's not surprising that the Nationals have announced another big-name figure will hold court at Nationals Park.

This will not be the legendary rocker's first go-around in a major league stadium. Most famously, Springsteen played Boston's Fenway Park back in 2003, and if reports there and from NBC's Luke Russert are correct. he'll be back again very soon.
. @Nationals A cab driver in Long Branch tipped me off on some sort of #Springsteen baseball stadium early fall tour.
