Class A Potomac third baseman Anthony Rendon suffered an ankle injury while running the bases in a 7-2 loss to Lynchburg on Saturday. It's not known how serious the injury is.

Rendon hurt the ankle in the fourth inning. After a hitting a double, Rendon was trying to score on a bloop single to center by Justin Bloxom. Rendon went down with the ankle injury after rounding third base.

Rendon has a bit of an injury history, hurting his shoulder and also injuring his right ankle twice in college. The team has yet to give an update on the situation, though is expected to sometime on Sunday.
