Diamondbacks Vs. Nationals Final Score: Ian Desmond Walk-Off Home Run Lifts Nats In 5-4 Win

The Washington Nationals surrendered their lead over the Arizona Diamondbacks in the sixth inning when third baseman Ryan Roberts plated a run off a throwing error, giving the Diamondbacks a 4-3 lead. The Nats struggled to plate runs in the next few innings to tie the game, but runs were plated at the exact right moment.

Ian Desmond came up to bat with Bryce Harper on second base, following up back-to-back strikeouts. J.J. Putz was on the mound for Arizona, looking to pick up the final out of the game and the save, but Desmond instead hit a two-run walk-off shot in the bottom of the ninth to win the game.
