Phillies Vs. Nationals: Washington Wins Big Over Philadelphia

The Washington Nationals Thumped the Philadelphia Phillies this afternoon at Washington Park by a final score of 7-1.

After scoring four runs in the bottom of the fifth inning, the Nats broke the game open scoring one run in the bottom of the sixth inning and two more in the bottom of the seventh inning. Philadelphia would be unable to counter scoring their lone run in the top of the fourth inning.

For Washington, Gio Gonzalez is the winning pitcher, bringing his record to 3-1 on the season and for Philadelphia, Vance Worley gets the loss bringing him to 2-2 this year.
