After completing their AL East road swing this week, the Nationals return home to face the New York Yankees in a Father's Day weekend series. The big team-sponsored event of the weekend is something called Dream Gala 2012, which is being held at National Harbor to support the Washington Nationals Dream Foundation.
From the team site:
Guests will mingle with Nationals players, coaches and other baseball luminaries during the cocktail reception and silent auction beginning at 6:30 p.m., followed by a dinner program emceed by Nationals broadcasters Bob Carpenter and F.P. Santangelo. Table and partial table sponsorships include the company of a player or coach during dinner and admission to the VIP After Party at the hotel's sizzling Pose nightclub.
That all sounds tremendously exciting, but if there are any of the female persuasion who might want a, ahem, up-close view of the proceedings, Nationals pitcher Gio Gonzalez is interested in hearing from you.
Hey I need a date for the gala on Saturday night, an sexy single ladies interested.....

So, there you go. Now Gio has only himself to blame if no one's interested.
