Nationals Vs. Yankees Final Score: New York Takes Game One, 7-2

The Washington Nationals dropped the first of their three games with the New York Yankees on Friday night by a final score of 7-2 behind the strong play of Curtis Granderson. Granderson led the New York offense with three RBI's in the ball game.

The Nats struggled on offense as Michael Morse and Danny Espinosa registered an RBI each, representing the only runs Washington would score in the game.

Gio Gonzalez is credited with the loss on the mound which brings his record this season to 8-3. Gonzalez pitched six full innings and gave up five hits and three earned runs while walking two Nationals batters and striking out eight.
