After five innings, the Washington Nationals are currently holding on to a slim lead against the New York Yankees with the score, 2-1.

Washington notched two runs in the bottom of the second inning when Jesus Flores doubled to left field and Michael Morse and Tyler Moore scored. The Yankees answered back in the top of the fourth inning on a fielding error in which Nick Swisher was able to score.

On the mound for the Nats is Jordan Zimmerman who is having a strong outing thus far. Through five innings he's given up no earned runs while walking three Yankees batters and striking out six.
