Back in May, Philadelphia Phillies pitcher Cole Hamels received a five-game suspension from Major League Baseball after he deliberately hit Bryce Harper with a pitch during the three-game series between the two teams back in May, and then possessed the requisite stupidity to admit that he actually had done it intentionally.
At the time, the plunking and the suspension, as well as Bryce Harper's steal of home after being hit, was supposed to represent a new and defining moment in the almost-rivalry between the Phillies and the Nationals.
Fast-forward a month and a half and bygones appear to be bygones if this tweet from MLB.com's Todd Zolecki is any guide.
Cole Hamels came over and told us he voted for Bryce Harper for the All-Star Game. #notaclownvotebro
