The Washington Nationals get back to playing against National League opponents on Monday night. Following a series loss in Baltimore over the weekend, Washington travels to Colorado for a four-game series against the Rockies.
This will be the first career start against Colorado for Stephen Strasburg. A win would give Strasburg seven consecutive victories, making him the first pitcher in team history to accomplish that feat. During his last six games, he has allowed more than two earned runs just once.
Opposing Strasburg is Jeff Francis, who has yet to win a game in three starts this season. After opening his year with a pair of rough outings, Francis held the struggling Phillies to one run over five innings. If the Rockies are going to halt a six-game home losing streak, they will need some help from Francis.
Monday night's game starts at 8:40 p.m. Eastern. It will be broadcast on MASN.
