Nationals Vs. Rockies Update: Edwin Jackson Allows Five Runs In First Inning

If the Washington Nationals are going to win this game, its going to be a stiff challenge. Pitcher Edwin Jackson has given up five runs in the bottom of the first inning, including a three-run home run by Colorado Rockies right fielder Tyler Colvin.

After the Nationals went in order in the top of the first inning, Jackson pitched against 10 batters in the bottom of the first, allowing hits to the first three batters he faced. Carlos Gonzales knocked in the first run, scored by Dexter Fowler. Then Chris Nelson hit into a fielders choice which scored Marco Scutaro.

The Nationals have scored 23 runs the last two games against the Rockies so if the bats get hot and Jackson settles down, the Nationals could be right back in this game.
