The Washington Nationals are traveling down South to take on the Atlanta Braves to begin a three-game series Friday night. The pitching matchups for this first game has the Nationals sending out Ross Detwiler who will be going up against Braves rookie Randall Delgado.
Detwiler is trying to have a better start this time around against the Braves. Back on May 25 Detwiler had a poor outing against the Braves and allowed three runs, five hits and four walks in only 4.1 innings. The Braves Delgado has not been pitching well by losing his last three starts, and in his prior start lasted only two innings.
The Nationals offense has been on fire as of late so the only change to the lineup is that Steve Lombardozzi is leading off after not starting the last two games.
