Nationals Vs. Braves: Stephen Strasburg Takes The Hill For N.L. East-Leading Washington

The Washington Nationals (44-31) scored a dramatic 5-4 win Friday night over the Atlanta Braves (40-36), and will send ace Stephen Strasburg to the hill on Saturday looking to extend their lead in the National League East.

Strasburg (9-2, 2.60 ERA) had his consecutive win streak ended at six straight after allowing three runs in six innings on Monday to the Colorado Rockies. The Washington right-hander has 118 strikeouts in 90 innings pitched this season.

Atlanta sends Mike Minor (3-6, 6.14 ERA) to the hill to face Strasburg. Minor has allowed 18 home runs this year, at a NL-worst clip 2.01 per nine innings.

First pitch is scheduled for 4:05 p.m. EST at Turner Field. Washington is 4-0 this year at Atlanta's home ballpark.
