The Washington Nationals will look to begin another winning streak when they begin their three-game series against the San Francisco Giants on Monday night at AT&T Park. The Nats had an eight-game streak snapped with a loss to the Arizona Diamondbacks on Sunday. They still hold a 4.5-game lead in the NL East with the Atlanta Braves losing to the New York Mets.

The Giants, have less cushion. Currently, they are keeping the Los Angeles Dodgers at bay by one game in the NL West. They ride into Monday's game hoping to stay atop their perch after taking two of three games against the Colorado Rockies.

Game 1 of the series is set for 10:15 p.m. ET at AT&T Park. Gio Gonzalez (14-6, 3.32 ERA) and the Giants' Ryan Vogelsong (10-5, 2.27) are the projected starting pitchers for the game. Gonzalez is coming off a complete game against the Houston Astros last week, in which he gave up just three earned runs off nine hits. The Giants will be getting back Pablo Sandoval off the disabled list for the series.
