The Washington Nationals are set to host the Atlanta Braves for a three-game set at Nationals Park, with the opener on Monday night.

After dispatching the New York Mets on Sunday, the first-place Nationals will now square off against their chief rival in the NL East.

Jordan Zimmermann is on the bump for Washington to kick things off. The 26-year-old has been utterly dominant to this point with a 2.38 ERA despite just a 9-7 record. In his last start, Zimmermann was ordinary against the San Francisco Giants. The right-hander yielded two runs in 5.2 innings on eight hits in a losing effort.

Zimmermann will be opposed by wily veteran Tim Hudson. Hudson has put together another stellar season with 12 wins to his credit. In his most recent appearance, the Georgia native shutout the San Diego Padres for 6.1 innings while giving up just two hits in a victory.

Hudson hasn't lost since July 1, when Washington touched him up for six runs (five earned) in as many frames.
