Marlins Vs. Nationals: Washington Takes Game 1, 7-3

The Washington Nationals took down the Miami Marlins in Game 1 of a doubleheader at Nationals Park by the score of 7-3.

The Nationals jumped on spot-starter Brad Hand, scoring all seven of their runs in the first four innings. Adam LaRoche had a big game, going 3-for-4 with a home run and three RBI's. Ryan Zimmerman also chimed in with two hits to help pace the offense.

John Lannan was good enough in his start, going six innings, allowing four runs and three earned runs while striking out four but walking five.

The Marlins were able to cut the lead to 7-4 with a late rally, but it was not enough to pull out the victory.
