Mets Vs. Nationals Final Score: Washington Wins Again, 2-0

The Washington Nationals took care of business on Wednesday night against the New York Mets at Citi Field, completing the sweep with a 2-0 victory.

With Stephen Strasburg out of the rotation now, manager Davey Johnson has turned to John Lannan to pick up the slack. He didn't disappoint against New York, throwing five and two-thirds innings while only allowing two hits and a walk.

Ryan Zimmerman provided the eventual game-winning run in the top of the fourth with a solo home run off of rookie Matt Harvey. Ian Desmond provided the other run on one of his two hits, another solo blast in the eighth off of Jon Rauch.

Harvey pitched effectively but ultimately took the loss, pitching five frames while punching out 10 Nationals hitters.

The Mets couldn't muster up very much in the way of offense throughout the game, something that has plagued New York in a big way at home. The Amazins' only managed seven hits, all singles.
